Would it be possible to develop a field in MCP for "Preferred Name" which could be what a client prefers to go by if it's different from legal "First Name"? It could automatically populate with what is entered into "First Name" field but then be changed to something else if client has a different preferred name. The "Preferred Name" field could be used for Jituzu for inclusion into the reminder sent about session so it's more accurate with what client's go by. This automatic populating could be similar to how the insurance fields pull in the information but could be changed to something else if it were different.
The main reason I would suggest this is that I work with a strong percentage of transgender clients who have sometimes a traumatic/non-therapeutic response when they get their reminder texts made out to their birth name vs what they go by, when they maybe haven't yet legally changed their names. I can't put their preferred name into first name field for those filing to insurance as that would obviously not match legal name with insurance.
I have mentioned this to a couple of representatives on the phone before but it hasn't seemed to go anywhere. I'm tired of apologizing to some clients for having to use their birth names in the reminder texts. I appreciate any consideration on this idea.
